This book held up just as well as its predecessor, Sacred Fate. Really enjoyed Dylen & Riodan's story-- their devotion, heartbreak, and reunion. They had many ups and downs but all comes to an HEA in the end, as it should be.I've only read the first 2 of 7 books in the series, but I would recommend that you read them in order. Whereas book 1 lay the foundation, book 2 added richer layers to this world that won't be as appreciated without the first. It also didn't hurt to see previous beloved MCs happily 'binded' in this story. Can't wait to sink my teeth into book 3.
Highly recommend.

Wonderful series of hermaphrodites in an alternative world. Loved the story and series.
Hallowed Bond is book 2 in the Chronicles of Ylandre series and every bit as good as book one. A very well written series full of interesting men that have heart and soul. Great world building, great characters, betrayal, forgiveness, intrigue, love. It has it all
Hallowed Bond is a very well written book. Nothing more you could ask for.
I liked this story. It was a bit predictable and maybe even overly sweet. It think there was some opportunity to travel a less popular road but the author opted not to do that. I liked the first chronicle better but this was a good chapter in the series. I like the world, I like the relationship and dynamics of the world so I will keep reading even though this one was a bit flat for me.
I have read this book before and the books in the series and enjoy the characters and storylines.
I was slightly worried about continuing this series as the reviews on and goodreads do not give the best to the sequels to the first story. I took a chance though and I must say, very very much enjoyed the results.
The writing and world building are as wonderful as ever, the story a good addition to the first. First quibble though is Riodan, whom part way through the story kind of changes face in a way that seemed to out of character and forced to an extent. Second quibble is that I don't know if the time lines matched completely with the first story (rereading later to compare) but some scenes didn't seem to flow as well when combining the two story lines together.
Overall great story and I may attempt to go to another story, regardless the reviews and hope for the best.
I really like this book. The tension between Dylen and Riodan was nicely done and I really felt for them. The intrigue in the book was very well done also. A VERY minor editing gaffe at location 2671 in a convo where it is written "Dylen wryly said" instead of "Riodan". It threw me off for a bit and I had to flip back a few times to make sure I had gotten the scene right.
Over all the world building is just amazing, and the writing is tight. I'm STILL confused about the world but that's mostly because i'm reading it fast and don't care to create flow charts to figure everything else. It is a great read though everything is so strange and I am happily onto the next in the series. This novel is different from the first as it should be because the characters are very different.
This is a superb series in a unique "otherworld" setting. It's unlike other M/M Romances in that its a world filled with men - pretty much just men. Possible Spoiler they have a unique conception method/process that assures the birth of male children. I thought at first the world would become boring and repetitive. I've read all the books so far and it hasn't happened yet! I particularly enjoy the author's gift for characterization - its no mean feat to make every character unique in a world with just men.
